Power monitoring and switching in busbar and RPP/PDU IT power distribution
Data centres are typically vast structures – yet are tightly managed by a small team. In order to maximise efficiencies, monetise rack space and quickly identify any potential issues, data centre experts deploy granular metering within Remote Power Panels (RPPs) - also known as Power Distribution Units (PDUs) - or for additional flexibility, within tap-off units mounted onto overhead busbar runs. Static transfer switches are installed in the RPPs or in the racks to maximise resilience.
