COMPATIBILITY
The Flywheel system provides a high level of availability for DELPHYS MP elite, DELPHYS MX and DELPHYS Green Power Uninterruptible Power Supply units.
APPLICATIONS
The systems may be used in operating conditions where battery use is impossible ; the system is unaffected by ambient temperatures.
PRINCIPLE
Using a very high-speed, rotating flywheel.
The rotating assembly is held up by maintenance-free electromagnetic levitation, with no contact with other parts. A maintenance-free internal system vacuum eliminates friction and maximizes energy efficiency. The flywheel-driven generator supplies energy to the UPS during a power failure, thus providing continuous power to the load. When mains power is restored, the flywheel takes less than 7 minutes (configurable) to return to full speed.
